Duty of Care, What Every Business Must Know

Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, all UK businesses have a legal Duty of Care to ensure that any waste they produce is handled, stored, transported, and disposed of lawfully. Using an unlicensed waste carrier, or allowing waste to be fly-tipped, can result in unlimited fines and prosecution.

Urban Cleaning provides a Waste Transfer Note for every collection, which you must retain for a minimum of two years as evidence that your waste has been dealt with lawfully. We are a registered waste carrier and fully compliant with all Environment Agency requirements.

Tipper Hire and Skip Alternative

We offer tipper van and grab lorry hire for construction, landscaping, and site clearance projects where a traditional skip is impractical, restricted access, no permit available, or you need waste removed quickly without waiting for a skip delivery.
